Anna Lee Sweetheart of the Sun (or as we call her Annabelle) came to us
from a friend of Lisa's who she coached through the whelping of Annabelle's
mother, Myiah. We thought a lot of Myiah and Annabelle's father Natalie's
Palmer Surprise, so we decided she would be a good addition to our family of
Westies. Annabelle has excellent features, disposition, and health. She is a
very loving dog, and she made a superb mother. She has produced some excellent puppies who are terrific family pets. She is now retired and living a luxurious life in Puerto Rico.
Cecilia is a sharp contrast to our other Westies. We call her Baby because while she seemingly was born happy, nobody tells Baby what to do, and nobody sits Baby in the corner. Baby is spunky and loves to climb and run. Perhaps our most athletic dog, Baby can outstrip pretty much any dog in a rousing game of fetch. And at 14.5 lbs, she is a sweet little bundle of energy—a true total terrier. She has now retired to live with two of her offspring, where they form a loving family home.
Can there ever be a sweeter Westie than our Julio? We don’t think so. Julio, whose call name is Pokey, is bright, and fun loving, and loves to be with his people. Pokey is everyone’s friend all the time, and enjoys running and fetch and lots of outside time. Pokey is very pretty too, and his looks coupled with his extraordinarily even temperament, making him a great choice for our stud. He’s one serious water paddler too, and would rather be swimming than pretty much anything else. Pokey is 18lbs of pure sweetness and was the foundation father of many of our litters. He has since retired to live with a wonderful couple in a Mississippi where he is celebrated in the local community and loved by all.
Our Roxanne is our classic beauty. She’s sweet and cuddly and loves playing and running with her buddies. While Roxie has a easy going temperament, she’s no push over. Roxie is 15lbs of attitude, and she rules our roost here at Welch’s Jolly Westies. She has had litters for almost 4 years and is now retired, living here with us as the matriarch of all the new litters.
